
![]() Marie Hart has enjoyed studying hatha yoga, meditation, and holistic health since the 1970s, receiving her first yoga teaching certificate in 1981. She is certified to teach Iyengar-style yoga by The Yoga Rooms Advanced Studies Program, a three-year, 1,000-hour curriculum, under the direction of Donald Moyer. Her class was chosen Best of the East Bay by the East Bay Express in 2001. ![]() Marie creates class sequences that allow you to go beyond your present limits gradually and safely, combining serious purpose with a light heart. Her classes are accessible for all body types. ![]()
Drop-ins are welcome in any class. However, before dropping in at the YWCA, please call the number below under Venues to be sure classes are currently in session. * Vinyasa is concerned with the flow of yoga poses one into another, connected by the breath. In this class we will use flowing movements to wake up our muscles and energize our breathing, while developing strength and balance. We will also spend some time studying body alignment in the poses, to engage your mind and reduce possibility of injury. Please have at least 6 months' experience with yoga.
